She'll keep him under 'house arrest'
CHEATING Wayne Rooney will be FORGIVEN by distraught wife Coleen after she dropped to her knees this week, sobbing: "I just can't live without him."
And yesterday afternoon the couple got together for the first time since we revealed last week that he bedded a £1,200-a-night hooker while she was pregnant with their son Kai.
They spent five hours locked in emotional talks at the marital home before she left, expressionless to go back her parents.
She'd changed her outfit, and had the baby in the car.
Pals said she is not ready to spend a night in the same house as Rooney.
Betrayed Coleen had been adamant the two-year marriage was over - but we can reveal she dramatically caved in after one of several tearful phone calls from the England striker.
A source close to the couple told the News of the World: "Coleen spoke to him on the phone and she was really cold and angry with him.
"She didn't admit for a second that she would take him back or even discuss a future with him.
"Then she put the phone down and dropped to her knees like a rag doll. She is angry, upset and distraught but at the end of the day she still loves him very much. Coleen didn't marry Wayne for money and fame.
"She married him for love. She said, 'I hate him right now, but deep down I know I love him and this is the man I should be with'.
"I know it sounds cheesy but it is breaking her heart being apart from him. She says she doesn't want to be without him." Today we can reveal devastated Coleen:
- Will take Rooney back on TRIAL and put him under "house arrest."
- Is TORTURED "thinking about him with those sluts."
- Flew into a RAGE after discovering Rooney stayed with his Manchester United team mates on Friday night in the Lowry Hotel, the very place he bedded vice girl Jenny Thompson.
- Has decided to put their sex life ON HOLD indefinitely.
We revealed last week how Rooney met hooker Jenny, 21, in a Manchester casino last June.
He hired her and prostitute pal Helen Wood, 23, for a threesome at the five-star Lowry.
Rooney then repeatedly bought the £1,200 services of brunette Jenny over several months while trusting Coleen was pregnant with Kai, now ten months old.
The source told us: "When Coleen first found out about the hookers she felt sick and said she would end the marriage straight away. She has been physically ill throughout this week coping with the stress. He claims he loves her so much, so she can't understand why he would want to pay a hooker for sex.
"She said, "I can't operate. The whole time I am thinking about him with those sluts. Instantly she told Wayne there was no going back and he was a bastard and she would never forgive him or take him back.
"But as the hours dragged on she has realised that she can't just give up on everything they have. She comes from a strong Catholic family. They believe in fidelity but also keeping a marriage together.
"Her faith is very important to her and it has got a huge influence on Coleen wanting the marriage to work. She is now starting to accept that people make mistakes and can be forgiven. It's so sad. The man she adores has treated her like dirt, but she still wants to be with him.
"She's also watched Kai missing his daddy and knows how much Wayne misses him, as she does.
"Coleen has said Kai will be one of the key factors when she is making her decisions about the future.
"She has always been determined for her children to grow up in a happy household.
"They were planning to have more children but that is definitely on hold now. The last thing on her mind is any intimacy with Wayne."
And Coleen is determined to lay down some strict rules for Rooney in return for giving their marriage another go. Our source said: "Coleen will give him a number of conditions to make their marriage work on a trial basis. She will put Wayne under house arrest.
"No boozing with team mates will be allowed. The clear message to Wayne is that he needs to start acting like a father."
The source also revealed she was horrified when she found out the Man United team had been booked into the Lowry on Friday night in preparation for their match against his old team Everton yesterday.
The insider went on: "That really upset her. Coleen hated to think of him back in the hotel where he had sex with those prostitutes.
"She got really upset and started questioning whether she would always be tormented. Part of her knows she should end it but deep down she knows she can't.
"Now she is thinking of how she can work out the marriage without everyone saying she is a fool. She already feels like an idiot because she didn't have a clue what he was doing right under her nose."
Our insider also revealed Coleen, who like Rooney is 24, is furious at people telling her what to do with her marriage.
The source said: "Coleen said the other day, 'What would they do? If they loved someone and had a child by them, would they just dump him? I wish people would stop telling me what to do with my marriage.'
"That made her really angry and also really upset.
"But she was really pleased when Wayne told her, without any prompting, that he would go for some kind of counselling. That was a comfort to her, like he has some kind of condition, that he knows how utterly wrong it is and needs help."
Last week hooker Jenny told us: "Wayne chased me with sex texts and paid in wads of cash. He didn't seem to care he was betraying Coleen. Wayne certainly enjoyed all our meetings and didn't seem to care what he was doing to his wife.
"I think he believes he's invincible and untouchable. As a woman, I wouldn't like that done to me, especially if I was pregnant."
The source told us: "Coleen was furious that the prostitute talked about HER marriage.
"Normally when people are talking about her she would turn to Wayne and they would sort it out together. Strangely it has made her realise just how much she needs him, despite the fact that he has caused all of this."
After our revelations Coleen fled the family's £4.5million mansion in Prestbury, Cheshire, to stay with parents Tony and Colette in Roby, Liverpool.
Yesterday she returned for a meeting with Rooney at the marital home, taking Kai with her.
She arrived around 3pm, just minutes after Man United's lunchtime match against Everton finished. Rooney, who'd been facing a barrage of taunts from fans at his former club, was not picked for the team or even on the subs' bench.
That allowed the couple to spend the afternoon together trying to thrash things out. Our source said: "Coleen wants to know everything. Why he did it, how he could lie to her and what guilt he really feels.
"Her parents suggested they go away to their holiday home in the Caribbean to talk things through but she doesn't want to go that far away yet because her sister is so ill."
Adopted 12-year-old sister Rosie is critical in hospital.
Coleen and her family have been at the little girl's bedside at Liverpool's famous Alder Hey Hospital since she suffered a stroke and lapsed into a coma.
Our source said: "Coleen doesn't want Rosie to sense anything is wrong. She just wants her to get better. She is trying to stay strong for Rosie, acting normal around her and around Kai. Coleen would have loved to have had Wayne's support throughout this week but she had to deal with Rosie first."
United boss Ferguson explained Rooney's omission from the team which drew 3-3 with Everton yesterday, saying: "We made a decision simply because he gets terrible abuse here. We don't want to subject him to that."
But sources close to Rooney say Sir Alex is furious with his player's behaviour and thought the best way to deal with him was to drop him.
One pal said: "Being dropped gave Wayne the opportunity to meet up with Coleen. He knows all he can do is beg and apologise and just hope Coleen will take him back."
