Comfort for Portuguese pal
NANI has revealed why he thinks new signing Bebe has struggled to make a big impression at Manchester United
Sir Alex Ferguson stunned football by splashing out £7.6million on the Portuguese kid - without having seen him play.
And leaks from United suggested the coaching staff were far from bowled over by the 20-year-old's first training sessions.
Ferguson was forced to go on the defensive as claims popped up he had been sold a pup when Bebe was left out of a reserve game.
He quickly insisted the forward just needed to build up his fitness.
But Nani claims the biggest problem his fellow countryman faced was learning to stop showing off in training!
Nani said: "Sometimes you try to show everything at first and things don't go quite right.
"I've explained to him about the things I have learned.
"It is important to try and keep things simple, get your confidence up, then show your quality."
Fergie admits he bought Bebe from Guimaraes on a hunch after hearing Real Madrid were about to swoop.
Bebe was surprisingly included in United's Champions League squad but is unlikely to feature on Tuesday against Rangers.
It's probable that the first chance Reds fans have to check out the Portugal Under-21 star is in the Carling Cup clash Scunthorpe on September 22.
